PC Magazine Calls Billing Manager “a terrific solution”

Happy Holidays!

I wanted to post a quick note to let everyone know that PC Magazine gave Billing Manager a great review last week. The reviewer, Kathy Yakal, who specializes in small business accounting software, highlights the simplicity and ease of Billing Manager when compared with more complex and expensive programs. She says that Billing Manager is “an exceptionally clean, well-designed site that makes billing faster and easier.”

We were pleased that she truly understands Billing Manager’s mission. Not everyone needs the full accounting features that come with QuickBooks. Billing Manager is tailor-made for the small business that just wants to send out invoices and keep track of who owes what. And, like the best things in life, Billing Manager is free. Unlimited invoicing at no cost to you. Ho! Ho! Ho!

I could not agree more with the article! I really love the service.

There are some features that I think should be added (hint hint ;) , such as:

    1. Send invoices as a PDF attachment / Print invoices in PDF. Also send receipts as a PDF attachment.

    2. Conditional prices based on quantity. For example example, if a customer orders between 1-5 of unit x, the cost is $2/unit. But if they order 6-10, the cost is $1/unit. So we could add these conditions, and then just enter the amount customer ordered and the system would calculate correct price.

    3. Change the default e-mail subject and not have to change it each time.

    4. Generate a statement for the client so they can see an overview of all invoice #’s, amount for the invoices, dates, and even maybe method of payment (and check # if a check was used).

    5. Shorten URL.

    6. Maybe offer customers (at a premium charge), the ability to use their own URL. If my company is ABC, Inc. and my domain is abc.com, I could setup a CNAME in my host records that billing.abc.com would go to your website, but look like it’s still handled by us (exactly how google does the hosted email).

    There’s other ideas I have.

    I really love this service.

    Thanks for providing it!

    Robert
