Spa treatment for Billing Manager – Dec 5th: 8am to 5pm PST
Some times you just need to take a little break. When you get super busy and stressed out, it’s healthy to take time to yourself, stretch, meditate and regroup. Billing Manager is about to take one of those breaks.
On December 5th we’ll be down from 8am PST to 5pm PST. This is a long time and we apologize for the inconvenience.
During that break, we’re taking steps to ensure we don’t have to go on break again. As counter intuitive as that may sound, the team is working hard to ensure that our performance and uptime is best in class. To make that happen, there is a one time tradeoff off for an extended period to rejuvenate. (We’re basically giving the app a boutique style spa treatment).
But wait…it gets better! We’ll also be releasing some highly requested features! You asked for it and we’re delivering.
But you’ll have to wait until Dec 6th to find out what these features are. I know, we can’t wait to tell you either!
Thanks again for your patience. We appreciate it.

Thanks for your feedback. We’re upgrading our servers to allow for a more agile and higher performing application. Unfortunately we have this time slot scheduled and cannot (at this point) make adjustments. We hope you can schedule your work before or after the downtime. Thanks for your patience!

I am disappointed in such a long scheduled down time as I use the billing manager 6 days a week and this has made me think that I have gotten burned by becoming dependent on a free solution. I also think that Intuit is to large a copy to have a 10 hour down time.

Thanks for the feedback. Know that this is a one time occurrence…the app is changing equipment and in order to ensure that we do it successfully there are linear processes we have to go through.
If you are interested in a more robust solution, we do have quickbooksonline.com you can try out. Billing Manager will be back online at 6pm PST on Saturday. Thanks!

What ever happened to doing maintenance in the off hours so customers would not be affected?

Hey Chris – we realize how inconvenient this is, but do want to ensure that we spend enough time and quality time making the significant upgrades that need to be made. Because of this, we thoughtfully decided to put it during the day to ensure that all the days following the downtime are successful.

Well, I don’t mind the downtime myself…especially if the promises of much promised upgrades are true.
I know this is a free solution, but I can tell you that if we had one or two simple extras, we’d gladly pay for the service. Things I know we’d like to see:
1. Simple reports, or the ability to print out/export a list list of unpaid, overdue, etc.
2. The ability to customize the “additional item information” line for each item.
We love Billing Manager. Our invoicing system is very simple and finding one that works as an online solution without all of the fancy bells and whistles of a full CRM or accounting program has been tough. Finding one that is now free is great. If it gets better…frankly, I’ll take a few of downtime to “pay” for it.

Hi, I like this product and if it had a few more features it would be awesome but its still very good. I have been using this from it launch I think and have sent in so many “nice to have” but I haven’t noticed any take root so i am hopeful for tomorrow.
The downtime is really crazy, but progress takes sacrifice.
Should I wait to send out invoices or will the system hold them until the new system go online or will invoices get lost during the downtime?

I sure hope this downtime will provide us with an api and branding features
Anyways thanks for the continued work on Billing Manager, it really is a great product and I hope it gets better and better. But seriously, an api would be the best christmas gift ever!
